アルファベットの起源
去年購入したが、積ん読になっていた本だ。
勢いで原書まで買ったにも関わらずである。
今日から毎日読もうと思う。
といっても、今年の3月2日にも同じ決意をしたので怪しいものだ。
それはともかくとして本題に入ろう。
この本は曜日毎にトピックが決まっており、それぞれ、月=歴史、火=文学、水=芸術、木=科学、金=音楽、土=哲学、日=宗教、となっている。
第一日目は「アルファベット」だ。
どのようにして、アルファベットができたかについて書いてある。
それによると、アルファベットの起源は古代エジプト🇪🇬にあるそうだ。
今から4千年前、戦争によって捕虜にした奴隷にヒエログリフでの意思伝達ができなかったため、その簡易ヴァ〜ジョンとして発明されたものがアルファベットの元になったらしい。

世界史では、フェニキア文字がアルファベットの原型になったと習った。
気になったので資料集を調べたら、「フェニキア文字はカナン文字から影響を受けて出来たもので、カナン文字は更にヒエログリフから影響を受けた文字である」と書いあった。
しかし、謎はますます深まった。
カナン人とは「旧約聖書」に出てくるノアの孫、カナンの子孫のはずである。
なんでその彼らの文字が古代エジプト文字から派生したのであろうか。

るまで、エジプトにいたからか。
I bought this book last year but hasn't finished reading even though I also bought the English original version.
So I decided to read it everyday from today.
I promised to myself the same on the 2nd of March this year so I don't know how it goes,though...
Anyway,let's get started.
On this book,each day has a different topic.
Monday is HISTORY.
Tuesday is LITERATURE.
Wednesday is VISUAL ARTS.
Thursday is SCIENCE.
Friday is MUSIC.
Saturday is PHILOSOPHY.
And Sunday is RELIGION.
The topic of the 1st day is「THE ALPHABET」.
It's written how the alphabet was invented.
According to that,the origin of the alphabet is in ancient Egypt.
About 4.000 years ago,the Egyptian pharaohs had trouble communicating with slaves they captured in wars because of the difficulty of hieroglyphs.
In order to make it possible to passing down orders to those slaves,simplified version of hieroglyphs was made and when the slaves were allowed to return to their countries they brought it back with them.

I learnt in High-School that the alphabet is derived from Phoenician language but this book says Hieroglyphs.
I wanted to know which one was correct so I looked at a reference book.
The book said「Phoenician language was influenced by Canaan language and Canaan language got influenced by Hieroglyphs.」
They appeared in Old Testament.
They were the descendants of Cannan,the grandchild of Noah.
How did their language derive from Hieroglyphs？
Because they were in Egypt before Exodus？
