再度の勉強のための仕切り直し
7/24に「これじゃいかん！」と思い、気持ちも新たにして毎日の生活の中心に勉強を据えることに決めたのたが、いつの間にやら「ぼ〜。。。」と過ごすように早くもなってしまっていた。
典型的な三日坊主である。
が、これではいけないのだ。
今現在が満たされた状態にあり幸福な人間の場合ならいざ知らず、自分はとてつもない超悲惨な境遇で不幸のドン底にいるため、ここからなんとかして抜け出しのし上がらなければならない。
そのための具体的なプランは既にある。
作家になり(売れて)お金持ちになることだ。
自信はそれなりにある。
書いた本が売れるか否かについてではない。
そうではなく、自分の文章力と知識量と創作力にである。
例えば、7/25に自分は1日で3200文字を書いた。
原稿用紙8枚分だ。
しかも、主に世界史に関すら内容だったので、分からないところや記憶が曖昧な箇所はすべて調べ上げての上でである。
その日、たまたま、Amazonのレヴュ〜を読んでいたら、そのレヴュア〜曰く「この著者(編集者か何か)は3ヶ月半で原稿用紙1200枚を書いたことがあると二回も本に書いており、自己顕示欲の表れであろうか非常に不快に感じた(大意)」とあった。
原稿用紙1枚は400字詰めだ。
ということは、この人物は3ヶ月半で48万文字を書いたことになる。
自分の場合は１日で3200文字だから3200文字×105日(3ヶ月半)=33万6千文字だ。
さすがに48万文字には及ばないが、「何とかなるかも！(プロの作家としてやっていけるかも)」と希望が湧いてきた。
それはともかくとして、8/7は丸々1日かけて「DUO3.0」という英単語集を勉強した。
人にもよるのだろうが、コツコツと毎日やり2週間から一ヶ月で一冊を終えるというのは自分には向いていない。
「DUO3.0」は本当に優れた参考書で、560本の基本例文に現代英語の重要単語1600と熟語1000が重複なしで入っているのだ。
実際、自分は24のとき、「DUO3.0」と別の単語集の２つを使っただけだったが、TOEICを受け940/980の得点でPercentile Rank(パ〜センタイル・ランク=自分の下に何％の受験生がいるかという指標)は99.5％だった。
400万部売れているのにも納得である。
On 24th of July, I realized that I couldn't continue living like how I had been and decided to study really seriously but without having noticed it I went back to my lazy habit.
It's so typical.
BUT！
I really can't afford to be lazy.
If u r happy urself and live in content that's great. But in my case I am at the nadir of adversity so I have to get out of this hell somehow and gotta be somebody.
I alreay have a plan(to be somebody).
Becoming a writer,slowly my books sell good and eventually succeed.
I sort of have a confidence.
Not the confidence that if my books sell good or not.
But the confidence in my abilities.
In this case, writing skill, amount of knowledges and creativity.
For example, I wrote 3200 letters in a day on 25th of July.
What I wrote were mostly about World-History so for the parts I didn't know or wasn't positve I searched on the Internet or looked at books.
So not just 3200 letters but all necessary researches were done before I started writing
After I finished my writing that day I went to Amazon and read one review of a book written by an editor.
The reviewer was angrily saying that in the book the author mentions 2 times that he one time wrote 4 hundreds and 80 thousands letters in 3 and a half months. He took it as boast. But I didn't. Caz I could write 3200 letters in a day. That makes 3 hundreds and 36 thousands letters in 3 and a half months. Of coure 3 hundreds and 36 thousands letters can't beat 4 hundreds and 80 thousands letters. Yet, I'm not doing too bad, either. I actually gained more confidence in my writing ability.
Return to the topic, I spent whole day studying an English vocabulary book called「DUO3.0」on 7th of August.
I guess it depends on people but learning small amouts of new vocabularies everyday and finishing the book in a month or so is not my style.
I much prefer finishing it in a day.
「DUO3.0」is a very good vocabulary book.
It contains 560 sentences which consist of 1600 English words and 1000 English idioms without any overlaps.
In reality, when I studied for TOEIC 16 years ago I used only「DUO3.0」and another English vocabulary book and got 940/980.
This book has so far sold 4 million copies but I'm not surprised at all.
